Online Markets this Christmas

This Christmas 2020, more than ever, small creative business need YOUR support!

This year, as we are all stepping into uncharted territories and trying to adapt to new ways of working, a lot of well established fairs and markets have taken the lead and organised online events to curate and champion small makers. I want to really stress the word "champion" here as the event organisers will have spent months working on those markets, they will have been in touch with us year round and they will have been following and supporting us for years. Those markets also go way beyond their main selling purpose and are an important and vital networking opportunity to connect with clients but also other makers. In a line of work where we often spend most of our work time on our own, being able to reach out to other like-minded people is a well needed breath of fresh air and I will miss this the most.

So, please join us online this year to discover and support hundreds of very talented makers and artists.

Here are the four online markets I will be taking part in:

Crafty Fox Market is close to my heart as it is one of the first markets I attended when I set-up in London five years ago. They are celebrating their 10 year birthday this year and holding two online markets on the 7th of November and on the 5th of December. If you want to discover a wide variety of quality markers this year, here is your first port of call!

Make More Stuff is a market that originated in Leeds to support Northern makers. They have been hosting markets at the Baltic museum and are now expanding nation wide. They are hosting a series of markets throughout November and I will be taking part in their North East and Scotland edition over the weekend of the 7/8 November. The prefect markets to support makers from your region.

The Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair is a very prestigious fair that has been hosting events in Manchester for over a decade now.

If you are looking for high-end and exclusive work from ground breaking contemporary makers, it's THE place to be. I am very proud to have been selected last year at their physical fair and this year for their online edition.

The Paperdolls Handmade market is local to Birmingham and one I have been watching closely for a couple of years. I have not been able to travel down to attend their market before so I thought this year would be a great opportunity to do so. One to watch!

Please have a browse through all those fantastic creative platforms where you will find original and unique presents for EVERYONE this year! Sustainability starts on our doorstep.

I will be setting up a page dedicated to markets on the above dates so make sure to put those dates in your calendar and check in on https://www.cirebags.com/markets.
